Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 Base Salary Comm
Overview:
We are partnering with a fast-growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider in Atlanta that is expanding its footprint across warehousing and transportation, including drayage services. With the recent acquisition of a 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse, the business is entering an exciting growth phase and is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive new revenue.
This role is ideal for a true "hunter" - a proactive, results-driven sales professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing large-scale logistics deals.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the 3PL space, with a strong focus on warehousing solutions and transportation (including drayage).
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to win new accounts and exceed revenue targets.
- Generate leads through cold outreach, networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects across key verticals.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and closing.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure solutions are aligned with customer needs and operational capabilities.
- Present tailored logistics solutions, including warehousing and transportation offerings, to prospective clients.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer demands within the logistics and supply chain sector.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in business development within the 3PL, logistics, or supply chain sector.
- Strong experience selling warehousing and/or transportation services (drayage experience highly preferred).
- Demonstrated success in a hunter-style sales role, with the ability to generate and close new business.
- Established network within key industries such as retail, CPG, manufacturing, or distribution is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to close high-value deals.
